Cheeky request: 455/8 SWT reskin

Post by msey0002 »

Hi all, I post this on RWTS, thought I might be bold enough to drop it off here as well:

Lads, I wonder if I may request a SWT reskin on Dave's fantastic Class 455, please? :)

The SWT red livery would be great, if it's possible:

I appreciate that such a reskin is not easy at all what with all the curves and lines, so please do take all the time you need ;).

Thanks very much

Yeah. Different shape swoopy bits though!

The livery irresistably reminds me of a toy for small children.

Especially that they use to go non stop between those stations (straight through Worplesdon)

and not forgetting the odd shuttle to Haslemere ;) and the rare moments where a Desiro was supposed to be used for a driver training run but was needed last minute so they grabed a 455 and used that to Haslemere and back one sunday last month! :D

would appreciate that and the the NSE / SWT tranitional period too :)
Kind Regards,

Don't reckon it'd be that hard :P

( not sure I want to be the one working out where all the funny bits at the front are, though )

Fantastic, Simon :). The funny bits at the front are all right to begin with though, aren't they?

Thanks very much for taking the time to do this :)

There are bits mapped to strange places that aren't obvious. That's the absolute worst, you probably spend as much time looking for those sorts of things as painting swoopy lines...

Ah I see, I get what you mean. The simple repainting I do to building and signs has taught me that when the texture file name doesn't match the shape file name

I too would like one of these SWT Bad Boys! Looks good, especially to a SWT/Southern fan!

Oh good, you managed to choose a shade of red that's marginally less garish than the real thing.
