Finding activities

Post by larch »

I'm having some problems finding activties for some routes at UKTS.

In the activities folder (for RW) there's no link for the Bristol and Exeter route but three for the IoW. There's a 'Paddington to Oxford' and a 'London Paddington to Oxford' and at least five folders for the Port Road (though I understand why this particular route is complicated activities wise).

Are submitted activities allocated to routes by some kind of algorithm that accepts whatever information is supplied by contributors (who can follow whatever description rules they like)? I honestly don't want to come across as moaning and negative - I genuinely bow with sincere respect to all of you who have spent so much time developing activities for the rest of us to enjoy and to the UKTS administrators for bringing the community together - but I'm getting confused about finding activities for some routes. If you search for downloads using pertinent key words there are obviously a number of B&E route activities available, but no dedicated B&E route activities link. Are there similar problems for all routes?

Am I missing something?

The organisation of the file library with respect to RW scenarios is a bit of a mess. As I understand it, when adding an upload it can only be assigned to an existing category and a support ticket must be raised to create a new one.

This is also a topic that has been raised before, but if I remember correctly it is also something that is quite time consuming to unravel.
