I find that narrow track spacing can cause problems esp with slips. Trial, error, track rules and check your levels are the same.

Yes that's exactly what I'm after!! A least I know it's possible. Could you post a small series of pics showing the process of putting that junction together If it's not too much trouble?

Cheers

Ok Matt, first lay your Main line, then with the offset tool (at for this instance 4.5 offset, i tried closer spacings but it failed every time) lay your second line, Now put in a diverging point to the right, But dont go any further than the right hand rail crossing the centre of the second track:

Image

Now taking the same track type attach another track to the point work and lay it in a straight line through the second track(making sure the track outline highlights yellow):

Image

Now click on the weld Button, and the crossing will weld into a Diamond crossing:

Image

with a grey cube hovering above it Just click the cube and the Diamond crossing becomes a Double slip:

I've done this many times recently Matt. As long as the levels/track rules match, it's very satisfying seeing the grey cube appear twice, doing the job for you.

I agree, looking great Matt hope the signaling works, I always have problems getting crossovers or slips to work with them. This will be a very, very popular route :D
Hope all goes well.

Thanks for the above comments!

Work continues:

Around Kidderminster

Approach to Bewdley Tunnel

I'm trying to work on 2 or 3 separate areas. Laying houses and things at Kidderminster is really dull! :-?

PS - Some scenery items are just place-holders until Chris gets to grips with 3D modelling!

Yeah a major structure! 1/5 of a mile long i believe?! A necessary asset though because there is nothing currently available that fits!

It's difficult to stay enthusiastic when it seems there's not an awful lot of interest. It's also hard to stay motivated when I can't see where any of the necessary unique buildings are going to come from! :-? But I'll plug on!

I haven't been able to do much recently. Do you want to take the route now and get the signalling done while my focus is elsewhere? The track work isn't complete at various stations along the line, so, would you like to tackle that as well? All the main line tracks are down. But I haven't added any sidings between Bewdley and Bridgnorth.

Fancy it? I've used the Isle of Wight track.
