Paypal query.

Post by kieranhardy »

Hi,

I'm brand spanking new to paypal and have only recently created an account.

I selected a 'personal' account and did everything it asked for, even waiting 2-3 days for the two deposits into my account to be made so i can confirm my bank. The issue i'm having is it's saying my account is premier. I've asked 3 other users of paypal and theirs are all personal.

Has anyone else got a premier paypal account?

All i want to do is make purchases not sell. Is this free on a premier account?

I thought it best to ask here as plenty of people probably use paypal on here. (it will say what account you have under 'Welcome, then your name')

Cheers,

Nothing on there says why it's given me a premier account though... there were only two options when i set up the account. Personal & business, so i'm lost as to why i've all of a sudden become a premier member without selecting it.

Have you contacted PayPal and asked? I recall phoning them once and they were very helpful.

Hi Kieran, my Paypal is also premier and i only use it for buying and selling on Ebay. I only get fees took out when i sell something, but not when i buy. Mine is also a personnel account. The fees Paypal charge for selling on ebay are scandalous, but it 99% of the time you cant sell on Ebay unless you have a Paypal account.

DITTO, it's just Paypoo glitzing the name up. (Premier sounds posher than Personal) :D

Thanks for the replies, i did phone up but got a woman that was rather difficult to understand at times. She did however confirm buying on premier was free and said i would have selected it to be a premier account. Interesting when i never saw the option but still...!

I have since made my first purchase on ebay and it arrived within about 2 days. Much better than the 2-3 weeks it took by cheque!

Buying with paypal IS free anyway.
The person getting the money is the one pays the charges.
