Umm - The Green Version of Corris4 may be put on hold for a few days, ive had major problems with Directx8 tongiht, which has to put it bluntly totally bu**ered the computer! :( . After much work with Windows safe mode, a potentially hard disk wiping uninstaller from the internet (directx8 affects your system files and isnt meant to be uninstalled  ) and a lot of finger crossing ive got Directx7 back - however I havnt got any sound and Media Player is freezing on me.

I have had to take MSTS out (backed up routes and trainset folders) becuase it was crashing aswell (was hitting errors and telling me to re-install) However im also going to have to put the sound drivers back on tommorow morning aswell... and then begin to think about re-installing MSTS, (providing of course i get the sound back)

I shall then be taking it easy for a few days to make sure everything is back in OK... :-?

You said you had problems recenlty Pitleyfalley, but bilmey, thats quite a big problem there. A reinstall of Windows maybe required. Good luck in fixing it... hope to see you back soon.

Well what a merry day Ive had *coughs sarcastically*

The sound drivers went in this morning, kicking and screaming and telling me I couldnt do it... bypassed various bits of it, to find that they were still kicking out errors in Control Panel.. installed upgrades in Control Panel to no avail...

Went back to the shop, exchanged the game for MSTS American addon pack... :)

Got home, the complete shut down and not a restart had updated the settings so all is now well. Well havnt dared try Media Player  and MSTS isnt installed yet (job for tommorow, however excpect a Green Corris 4 early next week) :D all being well on the PC front. :-?
