I have a texture which is appearingly incorrectly after export. I initially opened the TGPCDX file with DXTBMP. I then sent it to Paint Shop Pro X, and saved it again and reloaded the edited file. Afterwards I saved it as an ACE DXT 1 texture, with no alpha channel. When I export it with the Blueprint editor, the texture appears as a plain red box.
No doubt I am doing something wrong here, but what do I do to get it to show correctly? I have had no luck with RW_tools, and most of the time it gives me an error message much more often than it successfully exports. Even when I am not apparently doing anything wrong, according to the various forum posts I've searched through. Is there a reliable procedure to get this export method to work properly each time?
There's one post around the place that suggests that ToAce can export to TGPCDX. However, I haven't found a way to do this with this program. Is this actually possible?
Also, another forum post indicates that there may be a bug with the Railworks exporter, making it difficult to get files to appear correctly. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance

Re: Blueprint editor export problem
HI
All files that are to be used with the blueprints are to be in .ace format.
Perhaps you could describe exactly what you are trying to do as the blueprints take their information from your source folder which implies that you have created something to export to RailWorks.

Re: Blueprint editor export problem
I would think that's an attempt to edit an existing texture, if it's starting out a tgpcdx. I would suggest using RSBintool to export from tcpgdx to dds, edit and export back to dds and reimport in RSBintool again, that way you skip the blueprint editor.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

There are a couple of tutorials on re-skinning RailWorks objects on my site at http://www.rstools.info - See the tutorials index on the main screen.
