Armstrong Powerhouse: HHA Wagon - Announced!

Post by Tankski »

"We are proud to announce our first rolling stock add-on, the HHA Wagon Pack. This pack will feature the HHA wagon which is used for the transportation of coal throughout the UK. See below for a sneak preview of this brand new wagon which should be released very soon."

Taken directly from the facebook page of the Armstrong Powerhouse, it looks a cracker and assuming the sounds will be from the wagon sound pack, I think it will be great! Hopefully this will also settle the dust from a few teaser shots a few weeks/months back posted on the page as well. It's nice to know there's a new rolling stock developer in town 8).

From the picture, one could hope that this would be from a Freightliner class 66 on a Rugeley Power Station to Hunterston scenario, for the WCML North route?????

Assuming (this is entire speculation) from previous sound packs and such, there'll probably be 1 or 2 scenarios using default stock/route but then there will be more prototypical scenarios I think.

There also may be a skin upgrade pack that'll be free to correct the logos, from the looks of it :) well, assuming what happens here is nearly the same as what happened with the 57 from Oovee when that was released.

Ha! this is all in good timing! I was planning to produce a Hunterston Terminal to Rugeley P.S. scenario for WCML North.

I think the skin is pretty good as it is Kyle, I cannot see it being much for the wagon creator to put the letters in (I've seen them previously :D ). It's just a licensing thing.

Speaking of David though, he has not been around for a while, I really hope all is ok.

I think it's more a case of the companies don't want to see their logo (their property, in effect) being sold on for someone else's profit. Licenses are introduced to counter-act this so the companies charge fees to the person or organisation who wants to use their logo, most logically either as a cash sum, free (if you're very lucky!) or a chunk of the add-on price. Licenses also tend to take a huge time scale to get processed and it's not a 100% success rate thing either.
