Well I think that I prefered the other name that No 7 was potentially to carry. Irish Peat, or it might have been spelt Pete. That is what I was introduced to the giant Mecano kit of an engine that slept in the old carriage shed 20 years ago. It has been too long since I had the opportunity to visit that corner of Wales. Ooops better stop the waffle.

Irish Pete was derived from its board na mona (Irish Turf Board) origins and was a play on words. When coming to name the engine the name was never seriously considered!

This is my first foray into loco building and while it's not as good as Kevin's models as yet, I hope time will tell ...... :)

Steve

Well done thats very good! The brass work looks identical to the real No.7's! If you need photos of 7 I have loads lying around at home! Covering most aspects of the locomotive!

Then all we need is Douglas and we have the Talyllyn steam fleet!

Looks very nice Steve, good work.

Looks like I can concentrate on the Ffestiniog stock now and leave you to finish off the Talyllyn stock?

Cheers

The mega pack your thinking of, (i think) was an attempt to turn No.2 into No.6 till the real thing came out.

As far as I know '6' hasnt been done.... There are only 2 possible liveries 7 can go into, Talyllyn Green and Thomas the Tank Red, those are the only colours it has appeared in!

I do really wish people would stop arguing over who is doing who... If you have to could we set up a reskins forum so that people can lay claim to what they want to do. Personally im getting a bit fed up with hearing little arguments over who screwed whos face and who is and isnt doing what reskins....

Where not argueing, were just saying that he's making one and i'm making the other.
To be honest I think my Duncan is pathetic now, but when Number 6 is released a better one will come out.

erm...PitleyFalley?
I was think of the Donald and Douglas (the scotish twins) MEGAPACK on http://www.trainsim.com ......
I thought he ment Douglas the scotish engine, not Douglas #6 TR.
BTW, David's "Duncan Pack" (Red and Yellow) is not really a mega pack. Plus he'll probably take them off once Douglas (#6) is made by Kevin or Spontin...
