LMS Patriot - work in progress shots

Post by simuk »

Hi all,

Thought you may like to see the latest In Development shots of the LMS Patriot which is being developed currently for RailWorks, and was announced in our newsletter last week.

We'll hopefully have some 'in-game' shots from within RailWorks shortly which I'll add here, and in the meantime you can see more details on http://www.justtrains.net/developProduct.asp?pid=637

Would be interested to hear your feedback and thoughts!

Thanks,

Simon

I can answer that one... no... I'm doing this off my own back as its a loco i have always liked. Although the the replica Patriot is an exciting prospect for Steam fans it isnt expected to be finished to be finished for quite a few years yet so wont be much help to me with this project.

Hi Matt

That looks superb and remarkably detailed.

Something a little different to look forward to.

Looks gorgeous.

Might spark an interest if it was done as the replica as well.

Looks great. Is there going to be a BR green variant as well?

Hello Simon

The Patriot looks terrific! One of my favourite locos and definately on my "to buy" list.

Would it be possible for you to include an unnamed version in the pack please? I enjoy expanding my collection of locos I purchase or download by creating additional nameplates etc for them. The Patriots had a number of different shapes and sizes of nameplates I'd like to create such as "St Dunstan's" "The Royal Leicestershire Regiment" "Carnarfon" to name just a few.

I'd be very happy to share them with you if that were an incentive to you!

Best wishes

Fantastic looking model! And something different for RW!
I agree a version for the replica being built would build interest and if some of the sales were passed to the group I'm sure it would help them along ( a bit like the FS and Tornado packs).

Keep up the good work.

Well, it looks fabulous, Simon!

I've always liked this one, too, Matt and it'll be a belter if the A4 is the benchmark! :)

Would be great to see one in BR liveries, maybe in "clean", "grubby" and "minging" states :D

Some pukka Stanier coaches would set it off a treat, too

Cheers, Rik.

The details havent been finalized (so anything i say here must be taken as an intent rather than a cast iron promise) but its likely that the intitial release will concentrate on LMS Patriots, but I do have plans to do a BR Expansion. No Coaches... I'm afraid Rik... just dont have the time at the moment.

For your benefit Llew I will try and add some models to the expansion that you can customise with your own nameplates...although St Dunstans(one you mentioned) is one I intend to include in the LMS flavoured base pack (subject to change at present though).

The model is in SIM now and looking good but I'll leave Simon to show you pics of that when he is ready.

That's really kind of you Matt - much appreciated. I'm looking forward to this model as the unrebuilt Pat was one of my favourite locos in my train spotting days!

Best wishes
