Oh bother (or words to that effect).
Re-instated the Wilburton folder and RW crashed again,so it is something else in the folder that appears to be causing the problem.

OK, I think I have narrowed it down to a problem in the Particles folder - I am exhausted and I'm having trouble thinking but I suggest someone concentrates on that folder, and not the derelict engine as I first thought.

Looking at my old Particles folder I notice that ParticleGizmo.GeoPcDx is 7kb.
In the IOW download it is 1kb

No sleep and now I'm going to have some brekkers and get ready for work.

Hi all

That did it, I replaced the ParticleGizmo.GeoPcDx file (the 1kb file) with the 7kb file from my backup and all scenario's now work, even the Ryde St John free roam works now.

The file is located in "Assets, Wilburton, Stockton, Particles" folder. Just replace the ParticleGizmo.GeoPcDx file (1kb) with the 7kb file from a backup that you made (I hope!)

Hope this helps

Hi, works a treat - looks like the RS version of the saddle tank had been used. :) installing
Invalid File ID [24332]
sorts it. Thanks to Colin for tracing it! :)

Thankyou. I will expect to be wined and dined, and to have a free pass on the Ventnor West and Freshwater to Cowes routes when I visit the Island for a couple of weeks in June. However, most of the credit (and a possible knighthood) should go to Norman, aka "clockmaker", . He worked out the problem was the Wilburton folder - I just went from there.
I am not on the RW computer until this evening so I only know that with my backup Particles folder in place The Free Roam at St John's worked from the station to the Pier Head.

Fair play Colin, thanks also to Norman 'Clockmaker' to find the offending article!!

So if we reinstall that saddle tank, the route will work? must try it out now,

Dark.

I'm looking into it as we speak.

Dark.

Edit!!! I can finally load the free roam! Justin, you will need to add a link to that saddle tank and tell people to overwrite the particles folder with the one from that pack, it worked a treat! Now I shall go all the way across the island and consider some scenarios!

Well done to all involved, my gratitude goes to all who built the route and to those who's beavered away sorting out a fix

regards
Phil
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

It would be better to update the file in the assets pack with the correct version, and re-upload it.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Having done all of the above the route still would not load in my main RW install.

However have now installed on my second install and it loads. However in the free roam it cannot load the Terrier even though it is in my assets folder and RW Tools says no missing stock.

I can get round that by doing my own freeroam to try the route.

However I seem to be missing some platforms even though RW Tools says no assets missing, Some are there but quite a few have just an outline mesh effect with everyone in mid air.

From what I can see the route looks fantastic - just a few anomalies for me to sort out as above.

Many thanks

Hi all,

I will leave it for Ian to sort out as he has more knowledge on this then I do!!

Enjoy the route!!

With the terriers, make sure there is a tick in the box of DT in the editor, that's the only thing I can think of to help you out!
