Alpha not work properly

The intricacies, or simplicities of 3D modelling are worth understanding. Alongside other forums like Building Rolling Stock, Scenic Item Creation and the other tool specific forums here's another place to ask questions that just don't quite fit the other forums.

Is the inside of the model invisible from any angle - or just some angles ?

Is the interior model a separate object or just the reverse sides of the outside view polygons ?

If the interior and exterior objects are separate then try Texdiff material on the inside set to Normal / Trans and set the outside material to BlendAtexdiff TEST ONLY / TRANS.

This is a difficult one to understand !

Hi,

OK - sadly I don't think there are any easy answersto this. You will have to experiment with different materials and different transparency settings. Before you start experimenting just try the BlendATexDiff with TEST ONLY changed to NORMAL and see if things improve.

Sadly RW does not give a Zbias order so its difficult to make things dispaly properly. The method I suggested works fine for me - but perhaps I was lucky. Another thing to try is start with a new scene in Max and merge the interior parts first and then the exterior parts as a second merge operation. If this doesn't work - start another new scene and reverse the process. What you are trying to influence is the draworder of the parts since the normal Zbias isn't working for your transparent parts.
