A couple of hours messing about with the route editor and RWDecal.

A short industrial line that was used to harvest peat near Wilmslow until about 2000. All I need to do now (apart from a lot more practise and work on the route) is to learn how to make some little narrow gauge diesels.

It's absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!.........

...that no one has bothered to comment on this interesting and unique little railway. I wasn't aware that peat used to be harvested in Cheshire, though I do recall Lindow Man being found in a peat bog so they were obviously digging it up for a reason. Anyway, great work so far. It's nice to see a narrow gauge railway for a change.

Best wishes,
Padster

I think that this is a very interesting and unusual subject to pick. Well done for having the imagination to come up with the idea :)

Just one small thing. You're screenshots are too big and break the forum fules. Try displaying them like this.

Lovely, indeed, that last (resized) picture actually shows the route off very well. Thanks for sharing.

Looks very nice; it's always interesting to see those railways which are a little bit "different"

Another lovely little NG runaround.

Can I make the suggestion about the track? I hae always found that with this track, it is advisable to raise the terrain ever so slightly, covering some of the ballast, along the route. This makes the route look a little more rickety, thus adding character.

thanks,

Hi Chaddockdk, I know what you mean, if I could uniformly raise the terrain slightly I would raise it so almost only the rails are visible, but not sure if you can do that, am still on a learning curve with the editors here. :)
