Hi
I have been playing with the passenger view option ( camera 5 ) to suit a caboose position of outside on the back platform instead of inside as the norm. I can get the pan view of rotation and the up / down positions but what eludes me is to get the initial view when the passenger view is selected to face back along the track instead of the wall that I am getting now. The camera / camera window direction Z is initially set to 1 and the X & Y to 0 which is the norm.
I have played with these values to no end and the result is the same which to me tends to make these values useless for modifications.....?
In saying this...is the direction of the passenger view by the RW code set to face forward and not changeable...
Thanks in advance for any help or tips on this matter.

Did you empty the cache after each change?

Yes..I did, something I do regimentally every time I make a change or just firing up to run a scenario.

Hi qrfan, for some of the shape file mods you need to respawn the coach as well, I think this is because it is a different vehicle.

Sorry if not clear, Delete the original within the scenario editor & put on a new coach of the type you have modified. hope that now shows your mods - happens with texture changes as well.

Duh...
..respawn, reborn, new again....got it now.

The camera direction of x,y,z appears to have no affect at all if they are changed....
Default:
x=0, y=0, z=1
My Mods done on both sections of the file:
1st attempt: x=1, y=0, z=0
2nd attempt: x=0, y=1, z=0
3rd attempt: x=1, y=1, z=1
