Hi,
I have a different question. All the questions I'm asking are for real, as I'm approaching problems as such, whilst attemting to get my model into Railworks and operating it.
As mentioned in a previous posting, I have finally got the loco into Railworks via the Blueprint, with the kind help and guidance by a few dedicated persons. I do have another problem though......when exporting the model from MAX to the IGS format ( I'm sure it would be the same even if you're using Canvas or some other 3D prog.)
1) Normal export would include the bogies, as well. ( model + bogies = IGS )
2) What happens with the Wipers, Cab, Controls, Patograpghs etc. ? Must I include these the same way as per the Bogies?
3) The above in (2). If for instance I'm not including the "Wipers".......would the Simulator via some Blueprint entry place the wipers on the windows? ( Does this go for the rest, except the bogies, as well? )
You expert help would really make my day,
Kind Regards,
Johan

Re: Exporting a model locomotive
Johan,
If you PM me your email-address, i can mail you the example electric engine (with source), that once was available for Railsimulator. As there aren't too much differences between RS and RW, I think that looking at that example can answer a lot of your questions. It's a pity that such examples don't exist for RW
, because they can give you a lot of insight on how do things.
