Building an Alco S-2. Some WIP's for you.

Post by dogmouse »

Hello,

I dont see a "Building Locos" folder, so I guess this is the next best place to put this. :-?

Here are some progress shots I've made of an old Alco S-2 that I'm building. Comments or direction always welcome.
Cheers,
Rich

I've completed the Blunt Truck Assembly. Took forever. Still stuck in MSTS mode, so its a rather low poly model. ~1,525 total.

Photo textures? ( if you painted those from scratch you are my god! ). Nice job.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Thanks! I started with photos, but ripped them apart and reworked/redrew most of the pieces.

Drawing them from scratch would be insane.

I've done it before with about 25-30 layers, but it's not something you want to do often and usually it still doesn't come out that well :) there's a knack to phototexturing I don't have though, so nice job.
