What a marriage, Kev's wonderful Stanier Mogul and Matt's terrific Soundset that he's just released, I think I must have died and gone to Heaven.

This is what I have been waiting for since the release of Rail Simulator, realistic "Steam" sounds and Matt for me you have totally achieved it, thanks a lot for all the hard work you must have put into this, it is very much appreciated.

I have been enjoying your Jubilee, Black 5 and V2 'improved' sounds, but these sounds are something else, choice of two whistles, realistic Rod "clanking" sounds, that change when the Regulator is open and shut, authentic Steam "Exhaust" sound when 'fully' releasing the Brakes, an authentic "barking" exhaust sound from the chimney when working the Loco hard, the list just goes on and on.

I was going to go to the Great Central Railway's Steam Gala tomorrow, but now I just might stay at home and drive the Mogul all day instead. :D

I can't wait to see what else you have achieved with the other sounds you are working on.

Am I a "happy Bunny", you bet your life I am, thanks Kev and Matt.

Downloaded the new mogul sounds, alittle hiccup at start, kept eatting SBHH crashes but it then seem to solve itself, the SBHHs were happening as I got away with the Mogul, not sure if sound related or Railworks just being akward.

Anyhooo, I finally managed to drive it with the new sounds on the Heartbeat Moor line, really well done with the soundset it really brings the Mogul to life and you have certainly added alot of features via the sounds to bring the locomotive, special notice to a DT influenced feature of having the breaks make sound when there in 0% position and requiring to move to running for them to quiet down.

The chuff sound is great, I especially like how you have captured a good start up chuff with the soundset, its really barking and when I was going up the 1:48 to 1:50 grade out of Grosmont the soundset certainly gives the feel its putting effort into the bank. Lovely use of the clank sound on both running on regulator and off, I've always enjoyed that clanking sound the Black 5s have made and its nice to see it in the Mogul to. I especially like how you have managed to achieve the feature of having the clank resound with no exshaust beat going when you got hte regulator off, always felt abit odd to have a locomotive go completely silent when you when to 0%.

Haven't managed to get her up to speed yet so cannot comment on that, but with a 5 coach load going up a 1:48 its not so easy to gain speed ;)

Hope to see the Black 5 soundset to, really fill out my collection of soundsets with that one since the Black 5 is one of my few favourites, and of course look forward to your selection of GWR locomotives.

Excellent work Matt, keep it up.

One word.....Excellent i got one SBHH at the start but i tried it a second time and it worked wonderfully i got the loco up to around 50mph before i had to shut the reg  and she sounded fantastic she sounded like she was having to work hard at the start to get the train if 12 mk1's going :D

many thanks

Well thanks guys!!!  I'm glad you're enjoying it!

I have to be totally honest and say, I was having some SBHH errors with it was driving me mad thinking I wouldn't be able to release it. Then I sacrificed a little graphical quality and turned my detail slider down to 9. That solved it for me!! So I decided to take the plunge and release it. Due to the more complex setup of these sounds you may need to drop your detail slider down a tad. But then my computer is about 6 years old so I shouldn't be surprised it struggles a little with RW!

Another thing, if you've got an 'older' machine, make sure no other program is running whilst playing RW with these sounds!

Cheers

Not currently on a stamping ground of the baby 5s, but I'm looking forward to giving these a test, presumably on my clapped-out SVR, GCR or revised KWVR routes.

And I'll enjoy it.

*Signed off duty from 42968*

Just given the baby 5 a thrash up the Worth Valley on a full line load 6. What a lovely half hour.

Love the brake release.

Love the two whistles.

LOVE the BARK :D

Amazingly nostalgic atmosphere, never knew RW had it in her  You've succeeded once again Matt, well done, big congratulations :D

Thankyou Matt for this fantastic sound set, you have really hit the mark with this one...no wonder Rob is like a dog with two tails!
The volume levels are spot on, the ejector sounds make driving more realistic as you can hear what the controls are doing and feel how much work the loco is doing at any given time. And nice clanking, as it should be.
Outstanding mate, well done! :P

Have a great time! I would love to go but this living on the Isle of Wight business can really get in the way of getting to these gala's! Its an amazing line up of engines so should be a classic!
