Installing Class 20 Add on

Post by rushdenx1 »

I was sent this add on as a gift and opened it as per instructions. It appears in 'Package Manager', but when I open the game none of the Class 20 Add on is there. What else have I got to do to get the Add on installed correctly into the game. Any help appreciated. Kevin.

Just Trains version then if you got it through Steam.

Are you looking for it in the 'Drive By Train' window? as not all DLC shows up in that yet. If thats the case go to 'Drive By Route' and check to see if any scenarios are in the installed routes.

Well, you live and learn..I thought Sly had fallen out with Steam.

rushdenx1, the advice still stands though, look in 'Drive By Route' and check for any scenarios.

I think Sly said he was not going to publish anymore stuff on Steam but all his stuff that has been released on there will remain available on steam. The IHH Class 20 has been on Steam for ages. I think Sly does run a policy though that any updates for his products including those available on steam or further enhancement packs to products already released (the Class 44 and Class 56 expansion packs for instance) wont be published to steam and you have to get these direct from his web site.

So with that in mind RushdenX, make sure you head over to Sly's web site http://www.ironhorsehouse.co.uk and download the Free Class 20 update, this is essential and is not automatically included in the Steam version, you must go to Sly's site and download the Update from there. The update significantly improves the loco's default sound set and gives you an additional BR Blue grime livery. May I also recommend you purchase the Armstrong Powerhouse Class 20 enhancement pack which is specifically designed for the Steam version of the Class 20, this further improves the lcocomotive sounds and provides an additional 2 scenario's. Its a fiver but worth it. Enjoy.
