BR(W) 1500
Would anyone of the great train modelers out there like to try doing a BR(W) 1500. A freind of minr owns one in 5 inch gauge and i have driven it several times and would love to see one for train sim. I have access to drawings and a couple of photos of the real (and 5inch) locos along with close up photos of the details taken from my friends loco.
History
They were built at Swindon works in 1949 shortly after nationalisation and were used for freight and heavy shunting, including banking other trains out of Paddington. This was where the locos were mainly based. Only ten were built and were numbered 1500-1509. When built, numbers 1500-1505 were based at Old Oak Common shed and 1506-1509 at Newport Pill shed. The locos carried two liveries, plain black and lined black (I have only seen this on 1504, anyone know otherwise?) They carried both BR logos according to the year. The first of the class to be withdrawn was 1509 from Newport Ebbw Junction shed in August 1959. The final withdrawals were made in December 1963 when 1500/3/6/7 were condemmed from Old Oak Common. Locomotive 1501 is preserved.

I hope someone out there will undertake this challange. I would try myself but at the age of 15 I havn't managed to master the act of 3D modeling. I can only just reskin! you may have seen my J94. In the future maybe....

Well, Here is a pic as it stands,
Not shure about release although I now have time to actually model again as I don't hav to work so many hours - County class is next release though. After that I hope to release several projects (all in about the same state at the moment) and dont see why this should not be one of them. Will keep yu posted.

I know exactly who is doing it but I'm afraid I cannot say, due to previous involvement with the company and a promise not to blab about their project - but I guarantee it will be worth waiting for.

When...hmmmm...probably summer this year. Don't hold me to that though. It's based on a preserved route. Ask yourself where is there a preserved 15xx in Britain that is regularly in steam.

Well, as someone on the team has posted here about it, I can say that the preserved bit is to be modelled plus other bits, but not north of the current terminus. Bits in other directions. He said arcanely.
I understand the pack will effectively contain 2 routes: today's preserved one and one set around WW2 with some additional areas and industries, although I'm not privy to exactly what.
