A very good deal for new converts to RW but would someone new to the sim want to dive in with £149 investment for a computer game? what would the misses say?
Any smaller priced deals on the way, I thought Steam was going to blitz (am I allowed to use that word) us with Yuletide special offers?

More to the point who could sit there and watch that lot down load, Just Rw took 4 hours to load when i re-installed and i havent got a slow connection!

Hmmm i'm kind of tempted by this. At the moment the only things I own from the pack are IOW and WCML North, so it would be good way for me to pickup a lot of content.

Not sure it would take much difference.. Most of the DLC other than WCML seems to download in a matter of seconds.. Re: Mega pack for railworks 2 on steam
Once I have the money, i'm buying this, seeing as i can save myself some money from it. However, I already have a few items on the list and have already spent £105 worth on items in the list. Though it means forking out another £150, it saves me spending another £400 in the long run?

Indeed. There isnt a great deal you can do about what you have already got but if you want to save a bit, its an ideal opportunity to do so.

Re: Mega pack for railworks 2 on steam
An intriguing proposition ...
I already have 11 of the add-ons included in this package. There are 13 add-ons on my wanted list for this Christmas which are in this package. If I buy those 13 at normal price, it will cost me £ 154. The package costs £ 150. On top of that, there are some 6 to 8 other add-ons in which I'm interested but not yet committed to buying, and around 15 to 20 add-ons in the package in which I have absolutely no interest at all.
If you choose to delete any of these add-ons from your installation, I assume that Steam will re-install them the next time it updates or refreshes the cache. I'm also assuming that Steam doesn't offer any way of controlling which add-ons it installs - if you buy the lot, you get the lot in every Steam install that you update.
I wonder if RW2 can cope with all those add-ons in a single installation ...
Decisions, decisions - I may wait and see what other special offers Steam may have up its sleeves,
moi

The Steam sale will be over the actual Christmas period; at least, that's when the Christmas sale usually is. And don't blame Steam if RW add-ons aren't part of it, eitherbriyeo1950 wrote: I thought Steam was going to blitz (am I allowed to use that word) us with Yuletide special offers?

'Mega Bundle'
I've been saying that all day in a rather sinister voice.
as bundles go it is rather huge.
anyway, thats me done for another week.
love fridays, and even better, no releases which means I can rest easy.
have a good one all.
regards
Derek

Seems like it's been further delayed in the inter-dimensional void of Steam's release "windows"Makeone wrote:Weird, RS.com (site, that is) states, that class 31 comes monday dec 6th, but facebook it's 15th...![]()
