Post by Gavin-D »

As per the title just trains have confirmed via facebook they are making the Class 153: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... 5899053322 the in development page will be updated next week with the 153 added they also say: Right decision time 150 or 90? Or Adelante or new Class 66 or Javelin, exciting times ahead. :)

The 153 looks fab and i'm sure will be a welcome addition as would a class 150, 90, Adelante or javelin. I can't however fathom why, with so much on everyones wish lists, they'd want to put any resources into a class 66 when we already have a perfectly good one.

If anyone at JT is looking for ideas PLEASE SIR CAN WE HAVE A PEP STYLE EMU (ie class 313/314/315/507/508) or even a later incarnation (317/318/320/321/322). You know it makes sense and there are so many places these generic types can be of use :)

Looks sweet. Cl90 should be after the 153 then followed by the 180 :D!

I'd prefer the 150.

Actually they say the In Development page will be updated with the 163

I thought Oovee were producing a class 90 also?

A 150 would go great with the 153. It's quite common to see 150's & 153's together around here. And I can't see why they would want to do the 90 when oovee are doing that and the 66 is still pretty good.

As the first of the second-generation DMUs, I'd prefer to see a 150 than anything else.

A 153 will be welcome, but single railcars don't have that much appeal for me. I'm quite looking forward to the 156 from Oovee, that'll be an inrecdibly versatile model to have, although no doubt it will still have the silly throttle/speed relationship of the 158 and (apparently) 170. Not sure if I'll buy anything until the basic functionality is fixed in the core program.

I'd say a 155 (would be easy, just put two 153s together :P), 180 or 144.

Cheers,
Terrone.

We don't only have one project in progress at the time - there are always several projects at various stages of the process, from initial planning to development, through to testing and preparing for release, and many other steps in between. These all happen with different people involved in different parts of the making of products, and the 67 will be released early in 2011 - the announcement that we're considering other projects does not delay the Class 67 in any way.

Wasn't the class 67 started well over a year ago...
I think that's the point TElsmore is picking up on.

Good things come to those who wait :). If it was released a year ago, we would not have the little perks, like working windows and what not that newer models have, so the 67 might have those and more. Patience :)
