Bristol to Exeter Screenshots

Post by Darpor »

Why not start a thread. I think I have posted enough screenshots of the route already so if you have any particular shots you would like to share, post them here, would be great to see them.

For such a wonderful route, I felt that Bristol - Exeter deserved it's own thread, so I have taken it upon myself to create one. I'll kick off with some shots of 4472 working 1Z27.

4472 Departs BTM on a cold sunday, in some style:
Image

4472 powers out under Bath Road, and round the corner where a track worker caught this shot:
Image

4472 hammers through the stunning countryside, so far running 1 minute ahead of time:
Image

A bit of a late shot for this poor photographer:

Nailsea & Backwell is flown through at an impressive 71mph:
Image

We're forced to make an unexpected stop at Weston Milton, this is due to a passenger suddenly being taken ill. The ambulance arrived moments after this by-stander caught thier shot:

The support crew decided to get a new photograph for the official 4472 Flying Scotsman website:

As we pull into Weston Super Mare, now running some 15 minutes late, photogrpahers get the shots they wanted:

Oh, and not forgetting the fireman, who opted for a much more.."Up close and personal" shot:
