Two sets of bogie wheels
Hi
I have a problem where I have two sets of bogie wheels when I export my wagon model to RW.
One set are stationary and the other animate.
No matter what I try, I cannot get the one animated set to appear without the static set.
It looks like the static wheels are part of the whole model. (which they are not)
Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong, it's driving me nuts! :bad-words:
cheers

Re: Two sets of bogie wheels
I think that you have a problem with hierarchy. I suppose you are using 3D canvas.

Re: Two sets of bogie wheels
Yes Vlado I am using 3d Canvas 7.1.2
As far as the hierachy I agree, but I've tried all sorts of combinations out of desperation and nothing works.
I'll restart it from scratch today and if I have the same problem I'll put up a couple of screenshots.
Thing is I can get the same model into RW from Blender & "steampsi" exporter, but I can't use it for payware.
I should have said in my first post that the wheel sets are over the top of each other.
Cheers

Re: Two sets of bogie wheels
I've tried a released model from another source that is working and I get exactly the same thing happen.
Maybe it's the blueprint or a problem with the exporter.
Cheers

Re: Two sets of bogie wheels
This model is by Mike Simpson (Thanks to Mike for the source)
Video
All I've done is export it.
You'll need Silverlight to play the video or download it. File size is 6meg

Re: Two sets of bogie wheels
hi,
I use 3d canvas 7.1.2 occasionaly. If your prepared to share the scource and your blueprint then I would have a look at what happens when I try exporting it. Has me fascinated.

SOLVED: Two sets of bogie wheels
The problem as been solved with many thanks to Ross AKA class43HS125
Select "Group" NOT "Hierarchy" then Export the model.
The "Hierarchy" export was creating two models in the same space. One static & one animated.
Problem solved!
