Locomotive creators!

Post by smarty2 »

I wonder, if any of the talented payware creators whom frequent these forums RSC included of course :) would be open to the challenge of creating european motive power? We had the BR101 and 294 from RSC how about a BR218 and or working stuerwagens? It seems to me that the only payware producer is GR who in my opinion need some stiff competition in order to bring their ghastly priced imo payware offerings down to reasonable levels. Anyone be interested in giving them a run for their money?

hI
It should be a profitable market to break into given the lack of opposition

Hi fella, yes I agree it would be as long as it is priced more reasonably than the competition which shouldn't be hard! There is understandably a very British bias (not complaining :D ) and it seems crazy to ignore the potential in the European market? I know I know, I am 218 centric! But those sounds are just too gorgeous to ignore!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4r72rcOIuM

hi ...

European locomotives and rolling stock would sell just as well as their English pedants.
I have been using RW SIM also like English or international locomotives.
Of course, I like our German as well.

A real friend since rail is open to all sides.

A lot of content makers wanted to make more european locos, but since the RW engine physics are wrong, and there isn't enough advantage for rw (the most are missing the superelevation, and the working light, and of course the engine physics, others have problems with constant stuttering, and low performance), so they still stick to MSTS an making content for it.
I can say, a lot of MSTS content makers started to make rolling stock to RS when it came out, but when they faced with the problems (those that i wrote above), and the lack of good documentation, the went back to MSTS, and since that they waiting for a new sim that worth to make content.

Yes pal I have heard it all before, I know GR are only making content except for the Swiss route with loco and rolling stock and Aerosoft and Bluesky were making content too, but my challenge was to RSC in the main and other content developers here. And besides Koksy, Derek has already stated that they are working on these problems and more!

@koksy: does msts has superelevation? If it does then its very wel hidden because I've never seen it (and I have MSTS rigt from the beginning).

Regarding continental content: the first Dutch eloc for RW has seen the light of day: hop over to dutchrail for the download. Beware it's just a beta, so still needs a lot of tweeking.

No it doesn't but since MSTS have already a lots of content, and RW doesn't have features that worth to leave msts (like superelevation, better physics, headlights), they don't leave it...

That loco really needs a fitting place to ride. So far the line Zevenaar - Emmerich/Wesel has only been on the blackboard (mostly in Google Earth data), but it seems it might be worth investing time in. The loco switches in Emmerich should provide some interesting scenarios and it would be a realistic location for quite a few locos already available (BR 101, 294, Traxx, ICE3, class 66, G2000).
