That can be done by using a non-snow track texture in the areas affected (or unaffected) and a ground texture which doesn't have a snowy/white look to it in the winter texture. I'm not too sure the built-in content supports that though.

Or do you mean rain and snow not falling through the roofs of canopies?

Vlado,
I will not give a yes no answer, and I am only responding because I am nice like that, but please don't make demands that RS.com give you answers.
The features you ask for will come in time, when I don't know ,it depends on a number of factors.

However, I will say this.

Lights - in the plan. to get piont/direction lighting working means we have to make changes to the engine. This work has been started.
Super elevation - in discussion on how best to implement it, the subject is never far from RS.com towers.
Cab say - in the plan - we had a good version of this working in the pro version, It will find it's way into RWs and I'm sure an off switch for those that don't want it. Whatever kuju implemented for RS had nothing to do with what we wanted.

Distant mountains - in the plan.

So all you want will happen, no time frame, and when you get them, they will just be replaced with another set of wants/demands and desires.

'Be mindful of the future but not at the expense of the moment...'

Enjoy the here and now young padawan

best regards

Derek

Hi vlado

To be fair everyone has added to your list of 3 simple questions so we ended up with 14 :D and made nonsense of your thread really.

I think the bottom line is that it is not possible to answer your first 3 questions for several reasons. The main one being that RS.com are not going to give answers until the features are imminent for release or are definitely being developed. I have no doubt that most of the features in this thread will be eventually be developed but perhaps not for some time.

Please do not take offence vlado and stick with us.

Actually, I found the first page pretty nice. Sure, it has all been said many times, but we never had such a concise enumeration and it is always interesting to see what those who still are here still want.

And sure enough it has been established that Derek, Adam & Ralph post on their own accord and that RSC never gives official answers here. Sad as it may be, we will get superelevation before we get clear answers about future plans, at least not on the questions we pose.

This man knows the route to my heart. Just my own taste, not against anyone who wants it, but myself, I would only feel sick.

I should have predicted it. I feel you've done it with ridicule. Is this the thanks for the promotion of RailWorks in my part of Europe? Now, I am sorry that I started this topic. I was stupid and I made a fool of myself. I will no longer appear.

However, for first two questions I got an indirect answer.

Goodbye
Vlado,
I'm really sorry for how your thread has ended up. I feel a little guilty to have started this mess by adding n. 4.
I too suspected that others would have added more items to the list.
I sincerely apologize for that.
I know very well how you feel. Not being a native english speaker (I'm from italy) it's quite hard to understand ironies and when
others are serious or are make fun of you.

Cheers

hi

derek, with this announcement you made a lot of people happy, me too of course :)
actually i can't imagine how powerful this feature will be in railworks. to create realistic streetlights, tunnel lights,
maybe to illuminate train cabs, lightup a football stadium. it will look fantastic, especially with foggy weather! 8)

i'm very happy

Hi all,
I am so sorry for my bad reaction to Adam. The problem primarily stems from my poor English, and then from part of my temperament. But in the end everything is still ended well. I think we've got the strongest response to date.
For us in this part of Europe RailWorks is still not coming to doors from the great majority of the simulator fans. It is amazing how much I got a private message to switch their models in MSTS but I do not want to do that. It just says that it still lacks that certain something which makes RailWorks not accepted.
Therefore, I dare to say that this topic is focused on it to get a strong "weapon" that can be disarmed all skeptics by RailWorks. Now I have it.
I believe that my "ultimate tone" in the first post really comes from it because I have a small vocabulary of English. In my posts you can notice when I'm writing them, and when I have the help of some of my children.

Hi Vlado

Keep at it and you will be speaking like us soon (although some might not see that as an advantage (British humour  )) :D

No Geoff, that was not accurately modeled it was a simulation of a simulation with fixed parameters, cab sway and bounce by its very nature is random. Plus lighting isn't above superelevation and the afore mentioned sway imo.
