The RW 2 update has completely knackered some features of the program. All the buttons have stopped working in Editor, and the lights on buildings and street lamps are on through the daytime. The saying: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", springs to mind. Please stop pandering to the gimme monkeys. Some of us were quite happy with the original version: who gives a toss about working level crossings? I would rather have a game that works properly.
Not impressed.
Padster.

Re: Railworks 2 problems
You have found the weakness in my argument, bob. I only realised far too late this morning that the buttons don't work in Editor mode anyway! I feel a bit of a dick now.
The lights are still a problem, though.
Best wishes,
Padster

The lights I have found depend on the season/weather as well as time. For example I can still have platform lights on at 12noon with some of the EU weather patterns? Maybe it's that?Padsterdood wrote:You have found the weakness in my argument, bob. I only realised far too late this morning that the buttons don't work in Editor mode anyway! Hey, no worries. I'm still not sure I 100% understand which buttons you're referring to.
Can't say I'd ever noticed the lights being on in the daytime before, but I checked last night and sure enough they are! Not very environmentally friendly!

Re: Railworks 2 problems
As regards the lights issue, they are only on when I first enter the World Editor. When I save the session and the screen reverts to 'live' mode, the lights are off, and stay off when I re-enter the editor. I am not too bothered about this now, but at first I thought they would be on all the time in scenarios.
gypbrc, I suppose the lights would come on during the day if the sky was dark enough. This happens occasionally in real life anyway.
Best wishes,
Padster
