I can't find any direct quote in your posts. You did direct people in one of your posts to look at Derek's comment where I believe it was mentioned. Not intended to be critical an anyway. Just answering your question.
Kind regards James.
I cant find any either James, asked a couple of questions but no accusations I dont think. Maybe it wasn't me.

Darren,

I wouldn't worry about it. I didn't see anyone accuse anyone else of piracy, just point out in different ways that pirated DLC wouldn't work. If accusations had been made then I'm sure the mods would have dealt with it.

I posted just after Darpor's post advising to read Dereks post "do you own it" and was a little miffed at the time (I had read it and didn't need reminding). Derek can be a little blunt sometimes (as can we all :) ), but then I didn't realise the addon was anti piracy inspired. But the implied suggestion of complaining "my ilegal DLC isn't working" was not helpful. and Darpor's post seemed to be echoing that.
Just to clear the air from my prospective as someone who found payware missing and was a little concerned, and then was angered by the response.
In the end the "handfull" of folks missing stock turned into a great big armfull.

Far from happy at all. A disastrous update. :bad-words:
Tried most of the default routes with default scenarios. None worked.

Oxford-Paddington - SBHH on load
Hagen-Siegen - As above
Seebergbahn - As above
Newcastle-York - could not find items of rolling stock
Hedborough North - could not find items of rolling stock
Bath-Templecombe - SBHH on load

Also, Oakbury, my own route, also gets a SBHH error on load. That is over a year's worth of routebuilding!!

My challenge route has no terrain nor any track, signals or scenery bar foliage.

Those are all the routes I've tried so far. No route has successfully loaded up without an error and since the update I haven't actually driven one train.

Raised a support ticket with RSC of course. The Challenge deadline is nearing and I doubt I'll get it finished.

So I can safely deem my RW "unplayable"

I do have a backup, but all I want is my RW1 back :x

Not happy with the update at all. Still trying to fix it, as a "beginner", it's not so easy to fix. Playing with F4 reminds me of my young days with tonka truck toys..... :-?

Hi
Having sampled RW2,and tried the new frontend i am of the oppinion that most of this is purely cosmetic, and calling it RW2, is stretching the truth really, but its redeeming feature is the ability to turn it off,and all is nearly as it was, call me a synic but i suppose the main reason for it being free, was to address the file sharing aspect, bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut IMHO,the games industry, does everything to stop it, but the reality is theres very little they can do,software companys with massive resources have failed to stop file sharing, maybe making items more afordable would go a long way to stop file sharing,i dont know what the answer is.
I must say i have had no problems with my DLC probably because i only have 4 RSC addons, and they all work fine,i wish i could say the same for my route building projects, pre RW2 i had eradicated SBHH errors, now i am drowning with them, luckily i have a full pre RW2 backup and am now going to use this version in offline mode,i sympathise with those that didnt heed RS.COMS advice to backup and are now having problems.
So all is calm in Cornwall, and i can now get on with my route building, my experiment with RW2 i am sorry to say, gets a thumbs down, but i am delighted that many are enjoying there new RW2 version, maybe in the months ahead when the problems get sorted out i will give it another go! and who knows i might enjoy it,one can never say never,it pays to be open minded.

Kevin

Any Challengers that have problems due to the update will get extra time.

Silly questions I know but -

Have you deleted the blueprint cache
Have you verified the games cache with Steam

Well funnily enough, I just cleared the blueprints cache, and everything worked!!! I didn't bother at first because I wouldn't think it would do anything, but it clearly did!

I take back all the stuff I just said. However, I can't guarantee I will finish my route anyway. :( Other routes have put it to shame and make it look bad.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the 'big hand' that appears (rather like an old version of Microsoft Works) when controlling from inside the cab. I don't ask for much out of RW but can't there be an option to keep the HUD professional (for experienced users) then for the 'beginners' look that has appeared with RW2 (F4). Seem to have lost a few locomotives if I am driving in 'Drive a locomotive mode' which I am unhappy about as well!

No-one's "lost" anything, it's just an anomaly of the new menu system. Go and "drive by route" or verify their existence in the editor (Jub and 8F excepted until, hopefully, later).

If you look at the RW 2 thread I am pretty sure the finger pointing took place there
Either way it was uncalled for
Kind regards Stephen

Believe me, I'm familiar with the thread, Stephen...

I just wanted someone to show *exactly* where the accusation was made, 'cause I never saw anything of the sort...

I was going to install RW2 tonight but after reading both this and the 'Happy' thread I think I'll leave it at 108.b at the moment. My only concern is that future rolling stock will not run unless the latest update is applied and My installation of RW is reasonably useable, some scenario's don't work, why I don't know. And as for that Trainz style HUD, that's exactly the reason I don't use Trainz!!!
