Hi All
I have just got a new computer and want to install railworks. I put the disk in the disk drive and it 'whirs' up but nothing happens. I then go on to My computer and click on the disk drive but it takes about 5 mins to load and at the end it says there is no disk in the drive. Does anyone konw how to fix this?
It is on a Windows 7 O/S
Thanks
Dan

If you can, try the DVD in another PC just to confirm if it's the DVD that's failed.
Also try another DVD in the drive.
It could be the drive.
Cheers

Hi Dan,
Is this a new DVD, or have you had Railworks installed previously on your old computer.
If the latter, then you will be able to log on to Steam and download Railworks to the new PC without use of the DVD at all

Also, make absolutely sure that it's a DVD drive you're putting it in. If it's only designed for CDs, a DVD will usually behave as you describe.
If the disc really is bad and you have a good Internet connection, it might be easiest to just install the Steam client, log into your Steam account, and download RailWorks from there. They *do* let you do that.

The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

Yes, you can re download it as many times as you need, to any pc ( or multiple PC's ) but you can only be logged into steam on 1 PC at a time with the same user name.GWSRKID wrote:Cheers all.
