wcml download file size

Post by daveboldero »

Any one know the size of the WCML download file size from Steam. Had a good poke around but can find no info concerning same. Don't fancy buying the addon and then discover it to been one enormous file.
Why don't sites quote file size for their files before you buy.
Any info gratefully recieved.

The uncompressed folders are about 1Gb, but I assume Steam will compress them, so assume around 750Mb.

Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

I don't think it comes down as one big file anyway, but its whole is made up of its many individual parts ?

I'm afraid I can't remember exactly, but from recollection the Steam download was something in the 300MB to 400MB range.

As mentioned above, in the region of 730-750mb. One advantage of Steam downloads is that you don't need to download it all in one go, so you're quite safe disconnecting or turning off your PC before the download is complete :)

Do you know if Steam keeps the downloaded files, or does it remove them when the game files are installed?

Steam installs as it goes along. There is no installation file, as such.

It just keeps the .ncf file as far as I am aware, this just activates an update if you accidentally deleted any content. I am pretty sure that the file you download is pretty much the .rwp form that we all use and that unpacks into your directory before removing the trace of the original file, hence why things get listed in the Package Manager. I might be completely wrong though, but I haven't found any instances on my sytem where multi-gb's of stuff are hanging around from Steam downloads.
