Not sure if there is already a post about this, but who cares
will this pack include variations of the tender so you can alternate between 1 tender or 2? there's not much difference, If any I believe? can anyone expand on that?

If you sent dark chocolate ones, then I wouldn't blame them for shunning you.stuart666 wrote:They show a single tender with early BR livery (kudos for that chaps), so I would guess that yes, you would probably get a choice.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed the 57xx is missing from the blog. What happened to that? Didnt we GWR fans provide enough chocolate hobnobs or something?
There will be single and double tender consists included in the pack. When carrying double tenders the Flying Scotsman would carry the LNER crest on her cabside rather than her running number, which was carried on the water carrier. So there will be specific engine consists for use with double tenders and single tender use. This wont be limited to just a change of running numbers.rhysicus1989 wrote:will this pack include variations of the tender so you can alternate between 1 tender or 2? there's not much difference, If any I believe? can anyone expand on that?

Hopefully this should be dealt with using the numbering system rather than having separate crest or numbered models. Something appropriate would be to perhaps add an A to the end of the number to use the crest on the side instead of the number.g0fthick wrote:There will be single and double tender consists included in the pack. It should all make sense with a bit of luck.

I think the cab is very different from a collett cab im afraid. Ive not see the inside of one admittedly, but from photos it looks a lot closer to the inside of Petes Prairie cab (lever reverse for example). I guess it was inevitable really, as the following illustrates they never really designed a NEW 060 pannier at Swindon. They were all elaborations on a general theme laid down very early.rhysicus1989 wrote:stuart666 wrote:Incidentally, has anyone noticed the 57xx is missing from the blog. What happened to that? I sure hope they havnt given up on it, it would be amazing to have a pannier pack, with all sorts of liveries, and auto coaches and maybe a few toads thrown in? that would be an IDEAL GWR pack, and its not as though they have to modify the hall cab view that much, the cab is not far off.

from personal experience the 94xx is harder to work on than the 57xx and does not steam as well as the 57xxStill, if it aint broke, dont mend it. When they tried to by putting a new boiler in the 94xx, it was arguably a bit too weighty for its role. Still, it looked pretty.
Considering that according to legend the 94xx was only built because a GWR director thought the 57xx looked out of date with that dome, I find that deeply amusing and quite believeable.plewsy2105 wrote:from personal experience the 94xx is harder to work on than the 57xx and does not steam as well as the 57xxStill, if it aint broke, dont mend it. If I remember correctly, there's a bit in the 57xx readme that basically says you can do whatever you like with the model, although I don't recall whether this was specifically related to liveries etc. And while we're on the subject of liveries, they really all should be a sort of grimy dark maroon with the words London Transport down the side...
