F10 Clocks gone wrong!

Post by ThomasTelford »

Hi Folks. :D

I have been running my Trainsim for a number of hours using 'freeroam' but for some reason the clock on F10 has'nt reset itself when it's got to midnight and is showing the time of 28:30.00 :-? Now unless this is a cunning plan by the goverment to get more out of us all for the same money or something has gone a bit wrong with my Trainsim. If anyone has any ideas i'll be most greatful as at the moment i'm stuck driving my train in never ending darkness.

Hi Thomas, problems with the clock are usually cured with installing the MSTSbin Patch, looking at your previous posts I see that you never mention it.
I must assume that you don't have it, I would therefore advise you to do so as most Activities now use stock that are Bin compatable and solves the problem of Front Coupling amonst a load of other benefits.

Hi there. :)

Yes i am running the sim with the MSTSbin and like you said it made a big difference to the front coupling and being able to change locomotives. :) .I am assuming by what yo said there is a patch that i can download that may cure the problem that i have with the clock.

Best wishes.

Hi Thomas, no there is no other patch for the Bin patch other than the main MSTSBin programme, the Bin is always updated as time goes on and it pays every now and again to un-install the older version and install the latest one.
I've haven't heard of this type of error in the clock before and thought it might occur with the original set-up which didn't have Bin.
Sorry if I misled you but that is why I asked if you had MSTSBin installed as you never mentioned it in your posts.

I think this is just one of MSTSs little foibles that the clock does not reset when the time reaches midnight

I believe development of MSTSBin has ceased; the latest version - 1.8.052113en - has a file date of 21/5/2008.
