error reading train database file

Hi has anyone come across when loading train sim.a window which says error reading train database file, what does it mean well i guess it cant find the trains in the file but they are there any ideas?

Hi hart57 ??,
It means that an item of rolling stock required for an activity cannot be found in your MSTS set-up.
If you post the exact error message, we'll be able to put you on the right track. Oh dear, I've made a funny!!

Hi Hart57, adding to what Ged has said, this why when loading an Activity in MSTS which is not part of the original MSTS setup, UKTrainsim CD or a commercial Route, you must make sure that all the used stock is in your Trainset Folder.
I always run any Activity through Activity Analyser or some people use Route Riter and this will highlight missing stock, both these tools are available on this site but the Activity Analyser has a one off payment of 10 euro's to register your free copy.
Once registered it is easy to use and usefull to replace non available stock with a similar item, I have used my version many times over the years and wouldn't be without it.

The error message doesn't have a reference to a Line number in it does it? If it does, it means that you're trying to run a Bin piece of stock on a non-Bin set-up.
