WCML class 86
As most of us are new to this loco, I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer as to why there are 2 'tap' gauges in this loco? is the 'tap gauge' on the right used for multiple working?

Re: WCML class 86
Correct. I've not checked to see if it works as such though, I think that might be expecting a bit too much!

Re: WCML class 86
Hi.
No it is not functional at the present time.
I have, however, asked RSC whether it is possible to make it functional in the future.

Yep, as pointed out the original MU equiped 86's had two voltmeters (notch indicators) one for the driven and one for a trailing locomotive. All class 87's were so equipped. I was hoping I'd be able to spring a pedant's "gotcha" on rs.com if they'd left this off the 86/4 cab - but they're too sharp for that
It can probably be simulated with a bit of consist message scripting, but it's alot of effort for some eye candy.

Ah well, it would of been nice. this has actually just got me thinking about DT's class 87. i remember seeing images of a model about a year ago but haven't heard anything since? as of course the class 86 rarely worked the Northen sector of the line due to the steep gradients, but the class 87 did very much so since Privatisation.
