Does anyone know the max permissable speed of the 2006 polish built TEA tanks

They seem to run as Class 6 empty or loaded so it looks like 60mph.

Do intermodals run class 6? Because as I remember there 75mph I always thought it was axle configuration and axle loading that determand the Max speed is this correct?
I only ask as in Railworks almost all fright stock has no speed information.

Brake force will also have a bearing on the maximum permitted speed but I'm not sure how the various factors play against each other to determine the max speed. Some routes seem to have separate speed limits for goods wagons. It was noticeable on the North London Line that a freight could enter from the Western region as a type 4 and leave on the Eastern region as a type 6. (A generic example). Some goods wagons also seem to have been "downrated" for maximum permitted speed with age, either as the fleet is getting worn out, or a raising in network standards.
However, it's never too complicated, and forum members seem to know the right speeds for most available wagon types in general, so we can usually help.

Just a quick note, Intermodels can run as either a class 6 (timed to run at 50, 55 or 60mph) or a class 4 (timed to run at 65, 70 or 75mph).

As you can see empty running is 120 kmh (74.5 mph) and loaded is down to 100 kmh (62.14mph).
This is quite an interesting website, but, don't forget that these are for mainland Europe, I don't know of any Polish tankers that run in the UK regularly.

I was under the impression that TEA tankers were built in this country anyway, CAIB were based in Woking, Surrey, in my days on the railway. Other manufacturers from the 70's were Standard Wagon, Powell Duffryn and Metro-Cammel.

I'd definitely go with 60mph as your max speed seeing as TEA tanks are nearly always carried on class 6 trains.

Boggie 101t TEA wagons used on the GBRF Carless flow run at 60mph (class 6) loaded or empty. Though when they are loaded they generate an axle weight of RA10 which means you often get speed restrictions over some parts of the route.
