Free roam activities?

hello

i am wondering how i can make a free roam activity where i can have lose consists in yards and lines that i dont use how would i do this because every time i try it dont let me tick the optional path section box so how can i create an activity where i can go up and down a route as much as i like with lose consists in yards and lines that i dont use and be able to couple up to them by getting a loco to couple then drop the leading loco off somewhere?

Hi,

What route are you using? If you want a true "free roam", then you need a route with a yard that has manually operated points. Set you start point one side of the yard and set the end point somewhere well out of the way (50 miles down the track perhaps) and have a look at the "events" windows to remove the default end when last station reached option.

hey i have done this it still dont let me chose my own points or lines to go on?

i also clicked the highlight button which then allowed me to tick the optional path button at every point but the problem still reamins

is it even possible to swap to what ever lines i want whilst making an activity?

Possibly not if it's Great Eastern - most of the points are automatically controlled I believe, although you may be able to have a bit of a free roam around Crown Point at Norwich (if you have the new expansion).

You need to have a route/yard where the points are manually controllable using the G and SHIFT+G key presses.

thanks i think i have a solution

i placed locos where i wanted and coaching stock where i want them then saved it loaded up train store then select it under the additonally from activity list then select loose consists then everything is where i want them in the yards and stuff and i can select my own paths and stuff not tried it properly though will try shortly to see if it works
