Locos fall off turntable

Locos seem to fall off my turntable at bath
The tracks line up when I press G and it looks OK but then they just fall into the pit
granted I have messed around with the tracks a bit - so might this be a factor of height or positioning of the turntable?

We had some problems is Rail Simulator with duplicate turntables occupying exactly the same space. If you have been playing around with track near the turntable then a duplicate may have appeared -

From the last line it sounds as though the track may be visually aligned with the turntable but not actually be connected ( "welded") to it.
