Nice one Sly, it look fantastic! Just one problem, I've just been on the IHH website and when I click on the Britannia images on the right hand side of the screen it just brings up the same image even though I'm clicking on different images.

Just purchased myself and ran on the Port road scenario provided, what a lovely locomotive it is, certainly grasps the size and power of the 7MT and you certainly modelled it to your high standards as usual Sly. The model overall is very well done, the livery is top notch and I don't see any errors as far as my eye can observe. There is custom smoke effects like the 9F, the funnel smoke is quite dynamatic and is similar to the 9F with its white and black mix and blends together at higher speeds. What I can only described as two screw points ontop of the locomotive, as I don't know the technical term release steam at a constant rate and a dynamatic like the chuff smoke to.

The sound of the Brit is deffinately suiting of the locomotive though you will recognise sounds used in the 9F package if you have that one, however this doesn't really detract from the Brit, as she gains speed the beat of the engine is smooth and what I can describe as a funnel chuff sound becomes more predominate as you gain speed and fits well. The whistle is also custom and sounds quite well, my only critism would be that it could do with just being a tad bit louder, but otherwise its fine.

I have no knowledge of the Brit's pulling power or her ability to tackle gradients in real life, so from my own experience of driving it I can say she pulls well, builds up power at a constant and gradual rate and handles gradiants about the same as most other steam locomotives we have to date, the usual practice of balancing reverser against throttle is needed and abit of practice with this bigger locomotive to get it right but otherwise just fine, doesn't seem to have a issue of pulling 10+ coaches either at speed.

Usual extra content added in the form of IHH's bonus stock and is updated to this month (which probably includes any updates the Western pack got to), the Oliver Cromwell nameplate is there, as noted in the scenarios provided so that will appease those who wished to have Oliver in the game.

I couldn't buy it using Firefox; clicking on buy produced no reaction whatsoever. I loaded up IE and the 'buy' button suddenly sprung to life. Firefox is still unresponsive though.

Quite a week for my credit card having just got the Warship and WCML on Friday but always loved the standards.

Beautiful model, textured to be used but not filthy. Some lovely detail in the valve gear animation, and it captures the big feel of those engines. I saw Cromwell (well most of it!) the other week and I think this does it justice.

The sounds are better than the 9F, and for my money thats the best steam sound set I've heard. The chime whistle is a nice touch, though the game does clip it sometimes. There is a real deep bark even at speed, which is where other locos don't touch it. Only thing it could maybe do with is a little more atmospheric sounds when stationary or idling.

Where do I locate the instruction manual to alter the text to change nameplates, shed codes etc? Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Great model. Very impressive wheelslip and accompanying sounds. Hope DT can replicate this with the Light Pacific; it was very light on its feet.

One thing I noticed with Oliver Cromwell when driving from Templecombe to Binegar was the water level didn't fall at all until I reached Masbury summit. Anyone else noticing a rather untypical water usage rate!

I can't say that it's untypical, but it does appear to be, er, frugal.

On the numbering

the first 5 numbers are the loco number
the next seventeen are the name padded out as necessary to 17 digits

the next number is a-k for black nameplates m-x for red ones ( higher digit the longer the plate for each set )
The exclamation mark is for overhead flashes can be blanked by #
the next four are all blanks at the moment but could be used to represent route code markings etc
finally the last for digits are for the shed code eg 16#A or ##5A

The tender water consumption was noted in testing and will be examined
