1V28 scenario (IHH)
I've played Sly's 1V28 Western Stalwart scenario a couple of times and I find that when I'm 6 miles from Didcot the mileage to the station decreases correctly, but the mileage to the next signal increases incorrectly and is constantly green, allowing the train to pass a red signal which applies the emergency brakes. Can this be rectified?

Hi Jimmy
Just ran through this scenario and got a tester to run though it as well, absolutely no problems here.
Signals display green / yellow/ red as you follow another service into Didcot .. arrival time should be around 12:04
Now you sure you weren't watching the pickup passengers green light ?

I've noticed something that may be helpful: the signals in the F3 window are based on the direction you start off in after first opening that window. They could therefore, in theory, be confused if you roll back while starting, but should be fixed if you close and re-open the F3 window. The speed limits are handled more dynamically.
The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

I definitely wasn't watching the pick up passenger green light,Sly (ha-ha)!
The signal light underneath it was constantly green and the mileage to the next signal went up instead of down as I drove to Didcot.I don't know if this is relevant or not, but when the loco runs from Old Oak to Paddington it is in forward gear, so that when it starts it's journey from Paddington to Didcot it is in reverse. I went into world editor and turned the loco around so that it reversed from Old Oak and started from Paddington in forward gear and it seems ok now.

Maybe I misunderstand, but why don't you change cabs and run in forward gear.... This works beautifully in Paul's Western...the 'driver' always moves to the correct, active cab as well so you can see which is the 'forward' cab...jimmychoo wrote:I definitely wasn't watching the pick up passenger green light,Sly (ha-ha)!The signal light underneath it was constantly green and the mileage to the next signal went up instead of down as I drove to Didcot.I don't know if this is relevant or not, but when the loco runs from Old Oak to Paddington it is in forward gear, so that when it starts it's journey from Paddington to Didcot it is in reverse. Hadn't thought of that Jos! I'll play around with it later and see what happens.black8 wrote:Maybe I misunderstand, but why don't you change cabs and run in forward gear.... After you couple to the coaches at Paddington CTRL + To swap cabs, you'll leave Paddington in forward gear.
I've drove the scenario several times and never experienced the fault you have reported.

Different glitch in the Western Courier scenario. I don't think there's anything anybody other than RSC can do to fix this one though. The signal immediately before Reading station is stuck on red - pressing tab gets permission to pass it but the TPWS kicks in anyway. The same signal affects at least one other scenario that I know of (An AP one I think). Just a heads up
