Perfect. Thank you Sly for looking into that Cardiff scenario. Running it as I post this and the traffic jam no longer exists and those 3 trains are running normally now.

That was fast!

What, was the pack released like 3 days ago?

Now that's excellent After-Sales Service! :)

Thanks for these great locomotives and the updates, Paul. As someone who was born and raised on the WR I have particularly fond memories of the Westerns heading up the last express of the day from Cheltenham to London, Paddington. The timing of the Westerns marks an interesting anniversary for me. It's 25 years ago this month that I last rode a train in the UK.

And though I have never I actually seen (in real life) a loco with a class number higher than 55 I must add that I also enjoy your Class 56.

Thanks and keep 'em coming...

Regards,

Ian

Decided to write this in this thread since it's the newest pertaining to this fine locomotive.

I am wondering if anyone is having similar sound problems. Well it's not really a problem more so a glitch. Not sure if this is a Railworks audio engine, yet another creative soundcard skeleton or the pack itself bug.

I'm getting two distinctly different engine audio sounds from the external view (full throttle basis) depending on complete randomness. One time I can go to the #2 view and the engine audio sounds identical to the engine audio from the cab (minus some volume differences etc), and then go to cab, watch it pass with #4, check things out with #8 etc, etc, all things that move the camera away from the lead loco. Then if I go back to #2 it will be more of a... Muffled sound that sounds nothing like the same engine sound it was previously. Only way to get back to the original engine sound is to play around with moving the camera away and back to the engine/in and out of the cab again. The second "alternative" sound doesn't sound completely bad, but it also doesn't sound completely great like the original/in cab "engine" sound. All random, it could stay all one sound for a bunch of view changes, or very little. It has no particular set of actions that will cause it to happen "on demand".

I know this is all hard to comprehend as it's a weird one to describe but I did the best I could. From memory I seem to remember something similar happening on some other locos but not entirely sure. Just on the Western it stood right out.

Anyone with similar experiences with this or another locomotive?

Hi Sly

I've noticed that @##@ doesn't produce the domino headcode - don't know if you were aware of this?

Not a problem with the Westerns as AFAIK they rarely carried this configuration, usually displaying the running number in the HC box instead
