Olton Hall (Hogwarts Castle)

Post by ilovequo »

Hi

Does anyone know why 5972 Olton Hall (Hogwarts Castle) is doing a loco movement on Monday 2nd August from Carnforth to York?

It cant be for The Scarborough Spa because I know that 45407 is doing The Scarborough Spa again next week and 5972 Olton Hall hasn't even done a test run for the tour.

UKsteam.info have it penciled in as the reserve engine for the Scarborough Spa Expresses for most of the summer, so it's probably for that in fact.

I have done the Scarborough Spa a few times this season already and have heard the West Coast stewards saying that Olton Hall WILL NOT be doing the Scarborough Spa this season as it is OUT OF GAUGE and as said in original message - It hasnt done a test run yet

Wouldn't trust them, they claimed the Scot was out of gauge when I don't believe it is.
