When i'm playing the MSTS West Coast Express add on or the London South Coast add on, the game freezes after about 20 minutes into an acitivity and just goes back to the desktop. There is no error message or anything.
I also have the patch installed too and my computer is top of the range, any idea why this happens?
Problem!

Re: Problem!
Probably a resource issue.
I can get that at times - sometimes I can have MSTS running for well over an hour - other times it can crash after 5/10 minutes.
Having a "top of the range" PC does not guarantee performance from MSTS due to it's age.
Is it only on certain activities or is it any activity for the route?

Re: Problem!
So far it has happened on every route I have tried. I have only tried the long routes though, I prefer them over the short ones, it might be ok on the shorter routes though. It would be nice if there was a way that I could play it and prevent it happening.

You could try turning some of your settings down a notch or two.

Hi Andy,
A little information please to help with diagnosis. You have been a member a while is this the first problem you have encountered.
What utilities do you have installed related to MSTS. The larger Routes benefit from TrainStore and MSTSBin for which you will need to update MSTS to 1.4.
Come back.
Good luck
Doug

Re: Problem!
Hi andy20,
Just to add to all the other good advice - Save regularly!!
I've just been running two long activities on Dorset Coast and found that I had to save every 10 - 20 miles - if I didn't save, the thing would crash, but if I did, it didn't. That's Murphy's (and MSTS's) Law!
Cheers,
Ged
