Hi Art,
Simply because it is not available yet.
The Home page says a Download from UKTS. The Progress page says A CD.

Lets allow Martin and Co to finish it first EH! We will find out soon enough.

Good luck
Doug

The route hasn't been released yet however this should change in the very near future. It will be made available as a download on UKTS. With regards to a CD i don't know, this was the original plan for Highworth in previous years but the most important thing is to get it released as a download.

A post will be made here once the route is uploaded.

It will be released with the first 40 or so activities with appropriate stock which date from the construction of the route in 1879 to 1921. Once the route is released the testers will move on to the 45 other activities which date from 1925 to 1964 and they will be released at a later date.

Release will be download only.

Permission for CD release has been refused for certain items.

Building replacements for these is what has delayed the route for so long and we cannot be absolutely certain that we have not missed something.

Incase anyone runs into slight issues i would advise saving a few times when running activities in and around the Swindon area. I seem to be the only one with this issue but sometimes the route gives me a black out. So a quick save is advised so you don't lose any progress.

The work isn't over yet though, the team will now move onto the next lot of activities.

Enjoy :)

Just to say thanks to every one who have helped over the years to finally bring this route to life you wouldn't think it was first started in 2001,I usualy like big loco's but there are some smashing little tank loco's included with it.

Also being 9 years old it still compares well with to days routes.and thanks Kieran for all those screen shots you have done over the past few months.

The screenshots were the easy bit, it was the activity testing that needed the patience!

I do agree though, as soon as i first installed Highworth a few months back the first thing i thought was how scenic it looked compared to more modern routes.

I've also just noticed this on the download page:
The Highworth branch was 5 mile long branch line that once ran
My fault, there should be an 'a' in there!

What can I say, beautiful absolutely beautiful. A real work of art.

Thanks and kudos to all involved with bringing this to fruition.

And for anyone put off by the short distance - don't be. With frequent speed limit changes and challenging gradients this will test your driving mettle!

A work of art indeed. Very well done all. I'm not into MSTS very much these days but simply had to download this and give it a spin. Beautifully modelled and crafted capturing the spirit of the age magnificently

Congratulations to all involved for finally putting this masterpiece to bed - it almost makes it worth reinstalling MSTS!
