Diesels pack

380 + 390

Shame it's not the 390 + 158 "the Ben Laws Pack", even as a diesel/electric hating kettle man I'd grab those 2 for £12-£15

I just became lucky owner of Class 390 and Class 380. I'm most interested the the Class 390 - Wonderful feeling of tilt :o
You must know - English is not my native language.

Not sure about these two bundles and the alledged savings... those who have GARL already have the 380, and those that bought the RailWorks megabundle already have the 08, so the potential savings are just not there... Personally, I'm holding out for the 101 DMU and the IHH western...

I was thinking the same... I already have the Class 158, Class 66 and Class 08 add-ons - wonder if I still were to get 50% off on the HST Buffers and Class 37 if I were to purchase it? If not, the total price of the bundle, even with 50% off, is still more than the combined cost of the Class 37 and HST Buffers w/o discount...

Got to admit that *is* a bit steep. Nice route as I noted in the GARL thread but very short, certainly never worth £24.99.

But can people not still buy the Class 380 separately then obtain the route for £7.99? Meaning it still costs around £20.

Nope
Priced at £12.99 / €15.99 / $19.99 if you have previously purchased the Class 380 Add-on. The price will automatically be discounted at point of purchase.
Shame. If this is going to become another IOW "essential scenery pack" for future routes I was ok with 8 quid, but another fiver for what would just be (for me) some scenic addons is not gonna happen.

Kevin, clearly you haven't sampled the route - you would not say that if you had.

Have to say that people are getting a bit stressed about this - it only bothers me if it is something I want that I can't afford. Then I will save up for it same as I do for any other item I want that I can't afford at the moment! It isn't the producers fault that I can't afford it - they are trying to make money so they can buy stuff as well! Good luck to them if they can make money out of it in this economic climate. Before you all get upset I don't work for any of the suppliers!
I'm more bothered that it costs me as much as £30 in fuel to see my parents/ relatives etc and can see my money going out the exhaust when I'm stuck in traffic not going anywhere cos of someone else blocking the road!

Hi
The gulf between the hobbyist side of RW and the comercial side seems to widening which is a pity,RW has an identity crisis in my view,MSTS is built on a rock steady foundation of freeware and community involvement,RW seems to be moving toward a commercial foundation, which reminds me of the flight sims, were payware addons are produced for users if they wish, but the difference is the freeware side of flight simming is huge,i have enjoyed flight simming for many years, but have only bought one commercial pack, the hundreds of freeware aircraft, assets,Etc i have have all been community produced, this has ensured the longevity of these titles, were does the future of RW go?its an intresting question, would MSTS still be as huge today if it was base on a majority commercial basis?my view for what its worth is no.
Just to say i have sampled GARL on my friends machine, very impressive signaling! but sorry, very boring, with little scope for intresting and varid scenarios, when compared to Wales and Borders, and SAD,s Altenburg routes it looks downright dull!sorry but you did ask. :D

'boring' is subjective.
'Worth' is subjective.

My wife finds football boring and I see no worth in all her shoes and handbags.

Swings and roundabouts.
