unusual movement?

Post by terrycunliffe »

On Tues 11th May, at approx 17-10 an EWS 66 went through Newton-le-Willows, Eastbound hauling a 4 (or was it 6?) car Merseyrail EMU sandwiched between cargo vans which were acting (I presume) as barriers.
The train was passed later waiting in the loop at Eccles.
Anyone any ideas as to where it was going?

Birkenhead - Doncaster for some work doing. They've been running on and off for a while now, but every time I've seen it it's been a 67 on the front.

Thanks,
It could have been a 67... I only managed to get a fleeting look side on, but I'm sticking with the 66 :) .
