chrisj2k9 wrote:Jos, if you un-install the 5MT, download and install the "Iron Duke" Britannia locomotive then re-install the 5MT it should be all fine.

You'll find the Britannia on this UKTrainSim website and the file ID is 19901.

Hope this helps.
I have installed the Iron Duke and reinstalled the 5MT as you said Chris, and the 5MT is now working fine, Thanks! :D

Yep. Rev2 didn't fix it. The above trick worked. Uninstall 5MT R2. Downloaded and installed Iron Duke, then installed the original 5MT distro. Now she works.

Hi Sly,

Had the e-mail link for the missing textures but not had anything for the 5 MT. :(

Checked my message rules in the mail sever, can't see anything amiss

The 9F looks a treat on the Erewash valley line heading for Toton!

Cheers,

Off to carry on with the Erewash valley line now but it's growing like Topsy!

Sly - absolutely stunning loco, great activities. Getting up those 1 in 50s probably my favourite RW moment yet :)

I agree; just finished the 'Pines Express'. The 9F handles those 1 in 50's in great fashion, and the sounds are the most realistic in RW so far. While en route I had time to look around the cab and discovered that the roof vent is movable too. Great little detail Paul. Looking forward to your future loco's that's for sure :D

Cheers

It's such an amazing engine it's a real shame that I am the worst steam train driver in the world...my train inevitably stalls when trying to tackle the first 2 % ramps... I will keep on trying.

Good tips earlier on this thread - full regulator, and play with the cut off around 60-70% to keep the steam generation at 30,000 and the steam usage around that too. I got to the top still with 240 in the boiler and not dropping below 15 mph.

I have a problem with this ^^ bit ... Some wag appears to have welded the couplings to the drawbar...

Seriously, 888 pulls up, there's a pause, and then she pulls forward with train still attached :o

This then means that when she pushes back, she gets stuck on the points -- the behaviour at this point is truly weird as she just sits there, not moving but still chuffing away...

Have tried it several times and been into the editor to see if there are any pathing errors, etc. and even changed the auto-coupling setting in game to "on" (and subsequently back off) all to no avail.
I'm having the same problem with the Summer Saturday scenario, which occurs regardless of settings for coupling override and automatic coupling.

Hi Guys

Sorry but this particular scenario does push the envelope somewhat...
The only thing I can suggest at the moment is to wait till 44888 comes to a stand.. jump on board uncouple and drive into the headshunt... then jump off onto 92166.

44888 should continue its runround.

Spotted a wee prob with the tenders... I don't see any axles?

Using ATI HD5870 with Catalyst 10.4 drivers.
I'm not using adaptive anti-aliasing by the way.

Stonking loco otherwise. :D

I still cant get over the mendips...........I have managed the climb to Shepton Mallet from evercreech, then for some reason the loco slows going down over Charlton rd, then just stalls on the climb boiler rate is good wide open throttle, cut off around 65-70%, getting some nices cuts from the chimney but cant get up, any more pointers ?

Also have a wierd issue when i stop at stations aftera run the loco whilst stationary goes into wheel slip mode but the wheels arn't moving, only way to stop it is sanders, very strange.

But still agreat Model all the same, the 5 mt looks ok but not a patch on the later loco's you can see it was an early learn, not complaining it was free.
