After hurtling to the top of Japan on a Shinkansen we boarded a HEAT (Hokkaido Express Advanced Train) under the sea to Hokkaido. This train has a window at the front where the exit is. You can walk up to the front or back and watch out the front. You can even hear the driver at work!
I was too tired and it was too dark to take a photo but after a long wait our Local train to the place we were staying was off. It was about 9:00!

The next day we continued on the Local train to its terminus. Here is a nice photo of the DMU after we had gotten off and it started snowing.

Later on (after some coffee and sushi) we got on a FURICO (Not this one). The trip on the FURICO was fun, and like the HEAT there was a window at the front where the door was.
After that we took a local EMU that was nice and old to a museum and then a nice Limited Express to Sapporo.

The day after we wound up the meter gauge tracks over a snick snow route on the Limited Express OK.

After visiting anther museum we got on this Local to where we were staying. It reminded me of the Kiha 31 in MSTS!

Views from the Limited Express OK on the way down.

We got off at the junction where the OK joined the mainline to Sapporo. I did a tiny bit of trainspotting, 1 train

At the junction we went looking for the hidden away branch line platforms to catch our Local train to where we were staying. Luckily for my dad up there was a nice steam loco while I went to the DMU we were on and my mum put on the "Oh no" face.
That’s all for now, keep a look out for more! I hope you enjoyed!
