Cresston V3 - Released!

Post by Darpor »

I am pleased to announce that Cresston V3 has now been released. It is currently awaiting approval here on UKTS but can be obtained from http://rs-trainsim.co.uk/forums/index.p ... w;down=704 in the meantime. Please read the information on the download page for instructions.

* The route is around 100 miles long with full scenery placed throughout.
* 21 passenger stations, ranging from mainline to branch..
* Several new freight areas including Watsons Scrapyard, two marshalling yards at Mayweather and a major yard/TMD at Hatton Quay.
* Around 15 new and useable scenery objects including Mayweather Racecourse to provide new scenario opportunities.

Due to problems with the two "default" scenarios that were to be included, these have had to be removed whilst under investigation, therefore only a freeroam currently remains although I believe scenarios are already appearing at RWTS already.

Only a freeroam?
Jeez.
Does it have it's own sounds? Not sure what Cresston sounds like but I'll be spitting feathers if it sounds like Paddington.

If it sounds like RW Paddington and looks like it, you may want to do more than spit feathers.

Route looks very good, any objections to me removing the OHLE, for personal use ?

Now Derek's post has made me smile :-)

The upload here should be released in the morning unless the admin gets to it tonight. Weekend approvals are a little variable depending on what is going on. Weekdays the approvals generally take place early morning (around UK breakfast time) and sometimes later in the day as well.
Kindest regards

Of course not mate, for personal use, I know you prefer the older era.

Will the scenarios for the old version of the route work with this one?

I have to say this is a impressive route, I've been running the 390 pendo on it aswell as a few of the class 37s plus abit of steam and it really allows me to get a good run out of the trains.

There seems to be a large amount of area to work with two and I do wonder how many good scenarios will be made for this route as there is just so much that could be done with it.

On another note, maybe I'm blind or something, but I couldn't actually see a list of locations in that globe menu which allows you to fast track to locations, is this intentional? if it is, is there is a quick method to jumping to points on the map via the route view?

Overall, very fun and I look forward to the scenarios to.

Hi mate. You are right, the locations are not there, however, to skip quickly to a location, when in editor mode, go to the 2dmap, ctrl and click an area then click the arrow next to the co-ordinates in the top flyout, this should take you there.

The route has now also been approved and is in the download section.

As I noted last night it was a wry attempt at humour and it certainly made me smile. An observation on how some products are received and commented on.
