Bimringham Route [OpenBVE]

Post by DescendingSadly »

Hi guys,

I've just loaded the XC Birmingham route up to find that all the signals have been replaced by the default Japanese signals.

How can I get them back to the UK ones?

Cheers.

Have you downloaded the UK colour light signals pack from Trainsimcentral.

The Cross-City South download includes a customised copy of BRSigs, so they should be loaded and displayed just fine, provided the correct set of route files is used.

For openBVE, please only load the route files within the Railway\Route\Birmingham_Cross-City_South_BVE4 folder. Routes within the Bham_X-City_South folder are intended for BVE2 only, and if you load these in openBVE, you'll see openBVE's compatibility Japanese signal objects instead. There's a note on my download page, just above the download link itself, explaining which route files to use. Of course you might not have downloaded the route recently, so you're not necessarily to know.

In future, I think I'll rename the folder containing the old BVE 2 route files, and ask existing Cross-City South users to delete the folder they already have on their hard disks manually, to avoid further confusion.
