Hello everybody.
This is my first post here so hello and I pose you a question.
I am an absolute beginner to MSTS and I am wondering:
I have downloaded some trains and all of their dependancies and installed them. I want to use them on the Settle and Carlisle route. I have downloaded the class 365 double pack, class 321 FCC, class 313 NSE and 317 NSE but they dont show up on the train selection drop down box.
Can anybody hep me please.
Many thanks
where are my trains?

Hi stevay07 and welcome to the Forum,
Have you made any 'Consists' using the items you have downloaded, until you make one MSTS will not show the items. Also 'Electric' Consists will not be available on a non-electrified Route.
Have you read this:

I presume you are talking about the MSTS Route selection screen and not in 'Activity Editor'.but they dont show up on the train selection drop down box.

Re: where are my trains?
Hi,
They won't show up as they are EMU's and the MSTS Settle Carlisle route is non electrified, electric trains only show up on electrified routes in MSTS.
The only way round it is by altering the eng file, but as you are new to MSTS I wouldn't recommend this just yet.
If you have made consists( which is a must) for them try and see if they will run on the electrified default Japanese route.

Re: where are my trains?
To electrify a route open it's .trk file in wordpad and look for the line...
Electrified ( 00000000 )
Change this to......
Electrified ( 00000001 )
Then change......
OverheadWireHeight ( 7.23 )
to....
OverheadWireHeight ( 1000 )
