Post by msey0002 »

I think pictures of this wonderful route deserves a topic of it's own. Any one feel free to post pictures of this work of art which keeps improving by the day:

A Class 24 scurrys through Leuchars with an Aberdeen bound Parcels.

I've got to say this is one of my favourite routes for RW, having lived in Aberdeen & Edinburgh, I've been up and down the real thing more times than I care to remember. The only thing that spoils the route for me is the gradients - they're just not right. For anyone who doesn't know the real line, the steepest section is the 1 in 60 between Dundee station and Camperdown. In Mully's rendition there is the horrendous 1 in 35 between Inverkeithing & North Queensferry - twice as steep as the real thing!

This does look like an amazing route guys.

Edinburgh Waverley looks spot on, even down to the castle.

I must get round to D/L'ing it sometime.

Is the Forth Rail bridge included in the latest version?

That is still under construction, unfortunately. But otherwise, it really is wonderful. It has so much scope for scenarios, it's incredible

Unfortunately, I've had lots of problems with scenarios on the latest version that didn't occur with February's update. Nearly all of the scenarios are marked as under testing or TEST in the description, and I've seen all sorts of error messages pop up regarding "unknown issues" and markers missing at various latitude points. I think, as he hasn't finished his bridge just yet, I'll uninstall this latest upgrade and put the other one back in, I had virtually no troubles with the scenarios on that one....

Anyone else noticed a huge amount of error messages, compared to February's issue ??

I've not installed the latest version yet, but there is an update file for the scenarios dated March 7th.

The March 7th is the very latest edition, which is the one that gives me the most problems, regrettably......

I've not been on his website today, but, thanks anyway malkymackay, I'll have a look tomorrow.

Message sent relating to the error messages.

Here's a few more screenies from the top of the layout around Montrose and Broughty Ferry, at dusk.

I've been tweaking a few scenarios to enable some different screenshots to be sampled, these are from Night Freight to Dundee, now turned into a crisp winter's morning run across from Perth, and I've included Will's (chef666) excellent reskin of 47210 for the occassion.....
