East midlands trains?

Anyone know why East Midlands Trains services to and from Leicester are cancelled or running late mine went via corby someone told me a train something fell off the bottom of a meridian train and damaged the track and there doing emergency track repairs but I don't think thats true I thought it was just a brakedown dose anyone know what happaned
